Welcome to the revamped group for GreenxBlue!

=Green-najotake has let me convert the old club into a group! I don't know if the old watchers will see this entry, but feel free to join as a member if you're interested.

I have a question for all members who see this:

I've made folders in the gallery for Green x Blue, Green, and Blue, but there's a predicament as to what goes into the folders called Green and Blue. As you know, some people know Green as the girl and Blue as the boy and others know them vice versa. Personally, it's my habit to call the boy Green and the girl Blue, but I want to know the opinions of the members before I decide on what goes in each specific folder.

Leave me a comment if you'd like to voice your opinion! :la:





edit: The general consensus seems to be that most people like going with the original names. (Green -> boy, Blue -> girl) That's what we'll go with then!

I'm really happy about this, actually, since that's what I know them as, too. orz

Green and Blue are trainers from the manga Pokemon Special. The girl may also be known as Leaf and the boy can also be known as Gary or Shigeru, depending on if one refers to the game or anime. The pairing can also be called GuriBuri or Oldrivalshipping.

We accept art that has to do with the pairing of Green and Blue from Pokemon Special (or the Pokemon Games, too). It can have either of them alone or both of them together, it doesn't matter! There can be other Pokemon characters in the picture with them as well, as long as Green or Blue is in it.

I'm guessing no one looks that journal entry anymore.

So if I may repost...

A question (and don't hate me for this, I love OldRivalShipping [my OTP in fact] and ConflictingShipping just like the rest of you) but why do you all know them as Green--Male and Blue--Female? I mean, I personally read the English manga and played the English games where they are Blue--Male and Green/Leaf--Female. Where does the confusion come from? I understand the name system for these two pretty well (if I do say so myself) and I know in the original Japanese Manga it was Green--Male and Blue--Female. I also know that in the Japanese games, they released Red and Green, then Blue and finally Yellow. In the English versions there was Red and Blue (no dub of the Japanese remake) and then Yellow. That's why in Japanese, the game protagonist was Red and his rival, Green. In English however, we know that the rival is named Blue and in RBG there was no girl player due to issues with memory and file size of the original Gameboy. After she returned as a character in FRLG she was named Leaf (which we know because of internal game data). Why then do you know them Green--Male and Blue--Female? Do you play the English or Japanese games? Do you read the English or Japanese manga? You've all mentioned these being the original names, but how many of you call Ash, Satoshi or Ethan, Hibiki? If Green is the male and Blue the female for this reason, then Lucas should be called Koki, May, Hakura, and Brendan, Yuki.

Just something to think about.
